Announcement of Final Results

The final screening for Urban Public Space Design Competition 2019 was held at Nikken Sekkei Ltd.’s Takebashi Office in Tokyo on Monday, March 9, 2020. There were presentations by 10 finalists that passed the initial screening, whose proposals had been selected from among 268 accepted (658 submitted), followed by interviews by judges, and then prizes were awarded: one First Place prize, three Second Place prizes, and six Honorable Mentions. In light of the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), during this final round the public viewing of entries was canceled, and discussions with the 10 finalists were conducted via teleconferencing.
