Announcement of results from second screening
Fukuoka International Architectural Design Competition has attracted 107 entries (with 233 registered applicants). A screening meeting was held on November 19 (Thu.), 2020, when six works were selected as the successful candidates of the first screening. As for the second screening meeting, given the current situation with the coronavirus pandemic, we canceled the presentations and screening for public viewing that were to be held at Fukuoka Growth Next. Instead, the second screening meeting was publicly live-streamed on March 6 (Sat.), 2021, with the members of the screening committee communicating face-to-face and the six groups that had passed the first screening giving presentations online. At the screening meeting, the six successful groups gave presentations, and through review and Q&A sessions between the candidates and the screening committee, one work was selected for the highest award, as well as two works for the awards of excellence and three works for honorable mentions.
